Minor Deaths: We witness the destruction of both a U.S. WWII Submarine and a WWII German Destroyer(odd choice to use in the episode considering their history, but that is another matter). We will have to estimate the deaths approximately for crew complements. As we do not know the number of Thule on the German ship, all casualties will be considered human. Using a Z1 as a common Destroyer for the German navy during the beginning of the war, it had a crew complement of 325. According to those in the military I have spoken with, at this time in the war both ships would be fully staffed . Using the Gatos class submarine as a basis for the U.S., it would have had an optimum crew complement of 60. That means 384 dead.
