Notes: It appears that Castiel dies releasing the Leviathan, but doesn’t. Here is where things get sticky. It appears that whenever a Leviathan initially possesses a human it isn’t like a demonic/spirit/angelic possession. They will not leave the body and it can be assumed that the original owner is dead. During this episode, all of the Leviathan were released and it is implied they all found hosts. Since we do not know their exact numbers, starting with this episode, at any point a new leviathan is seen in an episode, it will be considered one bystander death that originated here.
