In the sequence recounting the history of the treasure at the beginning of the movie, it is clearly shown where a soldier suffers an impact near a cannon hit. It is unclear whether this is a kill, though it is likely. More importantly, it is unclear whether this section is actual flashback or childhood imagining. In the former, the kill counts and the latter it does not.
